Located on the Arabian Sea coast, Karachi's atmospheric conditions and relatively low latitude generally provide favorable crescent visibility. Our predictions account for the city's specific sunset conditions and moon position.
Our system calculates five key astronomical parameters at sunset: moonset lag, moon age, moon altitude, sun-moon elongation, and illumination percentage. These are fed into a machine learning model trained on over 2,000 historical crescent sighting observations to produce a confidence score from 0% to 100%.
