As home to one of Europe's largest Muslim communities, London's crescent visibility conditions are closely watched. Our predictions account for the city's specific sunset and moonset times, providing reliable forecasts for determining Islamic month start dates.
Our system calculates five key astronomical parameters at sunset: moonset lag, moon age, moon altitude, sun-moon elongation, and illumination percentage.
